    Pro Tempore to reside at the council meetings in his absence.

    Representing Irondale as a full time Mayor, working as a team with the City Council ,
    the City of Irondale employees and providing the public with  the following:
  • Excellence in Education.
  • Improving our Family Recreational Facilities.
  • Actively working towards  a 5-Lane road on Grantsmill to I-459.
  • New Businesses and Existing Business.
  • Neighborhood Association Participation.

           I will continue making Irondale a great city to live and work - These are my goals.

Coffee with the Mayor
Wednesday, November 10, 2004

Our first Coffee was held in the Mayor’s Office on Wednesday, November 10th, 2004 beginning at 8:00 a.m.  Freshly made coffee, juice and donuts were served to a crowd of 50 or more residents and business leaders of Irondale.  Channel 33/40, along with Anita Debro from the Birmingham News were also in attendance.   Mayor Alexander gave an update about the city since taking over office in October, 2004.  Priorities include keeping Wal-Mart in Irondale, annexation of East Jefferson and the Rex Lake Fire Districts, the new middle school, bringing new business to Irondale and working with existing business.   Good conversation and information was shared at the coffee.
