    Q.  How do I get to the Irondale Public Library?
    A.  From I-20 East:
Exit at Kilgore Memorial Drive (Exit 133).  Turn left at the traffic light at the bottom of the exit ramp.  Turn right onto Kilgore Memorial Drive / 20th Street South.  Go five blocks.  Irondale Public Library is on the right next to Irondale City Hall.

From Eastwood Mall / Century Plaza:
Turn onto Highway 78 / Crestwood Boulevard going East.  Turn left onto Kilgore Memorial Drive / 20th Street South.  Go five blocks.  Irondale Public Library is on the right next to Irondale City Hall.

From I-459:
Turn onto I-20 West.  Exit at Kilgore Memorial Drive (Exit 133).  Turn left at the traffic light at the bottom of the exit ramp.  Turn right onto Kilgore Memorial Drive / 20th Street South.  Go five blocks.  Irondale Public Library is on teh right next to Irondale City Hall.

From Downtown Birmingham:
Take I-20/59 East.  When the interstates split, take I-20 East.  Exit at Kilgore Memorial Drive (Exit 133).  Turn left onto Kilgore Memorial Drive at the traffic light at the bottom of the exit ramp.  Go under the interstate.  Go across Highway 78 / Crestwood Boulevard (here Kilgore Memorial Drive becomes 20th Street South).  Go five blocks.  Irondale Public Library is on the right next to Irondale City Hall.

LearningExpressLibrary.com has over 50 practice tests including employment exams for postal worker, police officer, firefighter, EMT, nursing assistant, and more.  LearningExpressLibrary.com also has tests covering basic skills such as reading comprehension, mathematics, vocabulary, and grammar.  In addition to these, a full array of practice exams for academic tests is available, such as ACT, SAT, GRE, MCAT, LSAT, GMAT, ASVAB, AP exams, exit exams and more.  To get to LearningExpressLibrary.com, follow these steps:
1.  Go to http://www.jclc.org.
2.  Under "Resources" click on "Databases."
3.  When prompted, enter your name and library card number (the number underneath the barcode on your library card).
4.  Under "Social Sciences and Tests" click on LearningExpressLibrary.
5.  At the LearningExpressLibrary.com Home Page click the "New User" button.
6.  Enter your library card number and create a password.

    Q.  How can I get a magazine or journal article if I can't get to the library?
    A.  Try EBSCOhost Web!
The EBSCOhost Web databases contain full text articles, abstracts, and citations from magazines, newspapers, academic and professional journals, trade publications, reference works, travel guides, ERIC(r) the Educational Resource Information Center, etc.  You can find topics, pictures, and maps by subject. EBSCOhost Web has many options for sorting results include relevance, date, reading level. To get to EBSCOhost Web, follow these steps:
1.  Go to http://www.jclc.org/.
2.  Under "Resources" click on "Databases."
3.  When prompted, enter your name and library card number (the number underneath the barcode on your library card).
4.  Under "General Reference, Magazines, and Newspapers" click on EBSCOhost Web.
5.  You will then see a list of various databases customized for various subjects with a short description of each database's
     subject material.
6.  To begin searching, check the box(es) of the database(s) you wish to use and click "Continue."
7.  Type in your subject and click "Search."  [NOTE: If you only want full text articles instead of both articles and citations, you will
     need to check the box next to "Full Text" before clicking on "Search."]
8.  Browse the articles found to find what you need.
