Irondale Fire Department’s message to the citizens of Irondale:

MISSION STATEMENT:  Provide fire protection and safety to our citizens and community by promoting fire prevention education, preserving life and property, protecting the environment through fire suppression, emergency medical service and hazardous materials mitigation.

This is your Irondale Fire Department:

• 42 full-time firefighters (24 Paramedics, 14 EMT-Basic) 
  
• Seasoned veterans and young, intelligent, hardworking firefighters

• Full compliment of medical equipment

• 3 Fire Stations –  Station #1, 5308 Beacon Drive;

      Station #2, 6101 Old Leeds Road;

      Station #3, 2603 Alton Road

• 4 - Pumpers, 1 - 75’ Aerial Ladder Truck, 1 – Service Truck,

      1 – Command Car, 1- Fire Inspector/Fire Investigator Car

• Currently phasing in new equipment for state-of-the-art firefighting techniques (Thermal Imaging Camera, new fast attack portable monitor gun, 5” supply lines, new “Jaws of Life” rescue tools)
   
• Constantly working to improve our equipment, our knowledge, skills and abilities
   
• Mutual Aid response agreements with surrounding fire departments
